Description: If the odometer/trip meter has failed on your vehicle, this gear is usually the cause. To avoid double assembly work, we recommend replacing the E15 and the disc gear in pairs. You can find corresponding offers in the shop. The disc gear on the E15 can be a 12-K, 15-K, 16-K or 17-K, just search for the names in the shop.
Mass: Diameter E15 = 6.90mm (15 teeth)
A notice: Only an E15 can be installed in the Audi 100. This gear may also be suitable for the Audi 200 and Audi V8.

The so-called involute tooth geometry is retained; this is the only way to ensure low-friction sliding of the tooth flanks between the gear pairs. The material we use is the thermoplastic Celron with graphite additives. These ensure low friction and wear-free operation.
If you disassemble the speedometer in advance, please note that the shaft of the speedometer needle is very sensitive. Grab the speedometer needle in the middle and turn it counterclockwise. Pull lightly. Friction is everything that keeps the needle on the shaft.
