To restore or convert your speedometer
Description: The speedometer leaves often fade over the years and are no longer easy to read. When restoring the instruments, it is therefore advisable to replace the speedometer leaves. An exchange of the speedometers leaves is also due when converting miles to kilometers from import vehicles. Here you get a complex reproduction made of polycarbonate. Since the speedometer leaves made in digital printing can have slight color differences for the possibly faded original, we recommend the exchange of all dials for an optimal result. In the 964 and 993, there were different variants for the speedometer and tachometer depending on the equipment (on -board computer, tiptronic/circuit). We have the different variants and the leaves for the additional instruments in the program.
Note on assembly: Do not tighten the mounting screws of the dial, but only lightly put on the leaf. Prefer the threads of the screw holes (sack holes) with a little clear nail polish beforehand (use toothpicks). The nail polish serves as a screw lock. Stickling leads to detachments of the lacquer layer! For an even illumination of the digits, the dial must be glued back to a light -conducting glue (thin) where it was glued to the factory. We recommend "polymax glass clear" from Uhu. Attention, use very thin!
