Description: If the odometer/trip meter has failed on your vehicle, this gear is usually the cause. The attached disc gear also often fails. To avoid double assembly work, we recommend replacing the E15 and the disc gear in pairs. You can find corresponding offers in the shop. The matching disc gear for the E15 is a 17-K on the 993. It's best to count the teeth in advance and simply look for the designations (17-K) in the shop.

If you disassemble the speedometer in advance, please note that the shaft of the speedometer needle is very sensitive. Grab the speedometer needle in the middle and turn it counterclockwise. Pull lightly. Friction is everything that keeps the needle on the shaft.
