The valve guides should also be replaced as part of an engine overhaul. Worn valve guides cause the valve stem seals to wear excessively quickly and quickly become leaky again. In addition, the valves seal reliably again with new guides and the engine receives the best possible compression.
Please note that on some models these guides only fit on the inlet side.
