Description:
If the alternator is defective, starting problems may occur, or the battery may be permanently discharged. The warning light with the battery symbol may then illuminate. The battery may not have been charged properly, often indicated by a squeaking noise in the engine compartment. Or the bearing in the alternator may be defective and causing excessive resistance.
