Description:
The brake booster is needed to amplify the braking force from the brake pedal. Since disc brakes do not have the self-reinforcing function of drum brakes, the brake booster is essential to ensure the necessary braking performance. A defective brake booster can be recognized when the engine is running by a brake pedal that is difficult to operate and by a slight hissing noise behind the brake pedal.
