Description:
This caliper was installed on 911 models with a 2.7-liter engine and chassis numbers within the range specified below. The brake caliper is a central component of every disc brake system. Brake caliper defects are usually caused by rust, brittle seals, or increased thermal stress during braking. A seized brake caliper is often noticeable by a significant resistance when starting, possibly accompanied by noise and odor, or by the car pulling to one side when driving straight. A defective brake caliper renders the braking system inoperable, and the damaged caliper must be replaced immediately.
