E15 Speedometer Gear for AUDI 80 Instrument Cluster Odometer Repair

Excellent workmanship

Description:
If the odometer/trip odometer on your vehicle has failed, this gear is usually the cause. To avoid duplicate installation work, we recommend replacing the E15 and the disc gear together. You can find corresponding offers in the shop.
The disc gear for the E15 can be a 12-tooth, 15-tooth, 16-tooth, or 17-tooth; simply search for these designations in the shop.

Dimensions:
Diameter E15 = 6.90 mm (15 teeth)
For comparison:
Diameter E20 = 8.60 mm (20 teeth)

Note:
The Audi 80 can be equipped with either an E20 OR an E15. You can find a corresponding offer in our shop.

Important:
Unfortunately, matching the motor type/transmission type/year of manufacture/model to the gear type is so complex that only counting the teeth provides certainty. Please count the teeth before purchasing.

Quality:
Our gears are manufactured using a complex and faithful injection molding process and are not 3D-printed in-house creations. We work with a manufacturer who specializes in the production of plastic gears and is a global market leader with its repair solutions.
The so-called involute tooth geometry is retained; this is the only way to ensure low-friction sliding of the tooth flanks between the gear pairs.
We use the thermoplastic material Celron with graphite additives. These ensure low friction and wear-free operation.

If you disassemble the speedometer beforehand, please note that the speedometer needle shaft is very delicate. Grip the speedometer needle in the middle and turn it counterclockwise, pulling gently. Friction is all that holds the needle on the shaft.
