The old gearshift levers wear down significantly due to the lack of bearings on the pivot and cause excessive play when shifting gears.

Note:
For those who wish to further eliminate wear in the shift linkage, a new bearing for the intermediate shift lever is available in our shop. This repair kit is unique and ensures crisp, "like-new" shifting behavior in the transaxle models.
Save on double shipping and double the work by completely replacing the shift linkage.
