Description:
Handbrake cables are used in the parking brake for mechanical power transmission. Depending on the installation position, the Bowden cables are subject to external weather conditions and possibly stone chips. This often leads to corrosion on the handbrake cable if the casing or a bellows is damaged.
Grinding noises and increased heat development are also often indications of a defective handbrake cable.
