Description:
This offer includes a repair kit for the display of your Mercedes outside temperature display. The ATA was also used in various Mercedes models.
It shows °C and not °F.

After decades of use and frequent temperature fluctuations, the seal of the LCD elements eventually fails and the display "leaks". Although the entire component is still fully functional, the numbers and symbols can no longer be fully read. The associated conductive contact rubbers also age over time and are a common reason for the display being unreadable.

As a "do-it-yourself" solution, you can also repair the display yourself as a hobbyist using the components offered here and our illustrated instructions. No complex assembly work or soldering is required for the repair.
Because aging displays are a general problem, we generally advise against purchasing used, "still intact" components. Here, too, it's only a matter of time before the display stops working. Replacing your own display is the more cost-effective option in the long run.

As a manufacturer of these components, we can offer wholesalers and retailers, as well as workshops and repair shops, special conditions for larger quantities. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Please note that there are various housing shapes, part numbers, and two different numbers of contacts on the displays. The housing shape, the associated vehicle, or the part number are NOT a reliable indicator of the version used. In 90% of cases, the 6-pin display is installed. In rare cases, however, the 10-pin LCD offered here is also available. You can identify the 10-pin version by the white housing element. Regardless of the housing design or the vehicle in which it was installed, if your housing also has a white plastic part, this 10-pin display is suitable for you.

After the repair, no programming or anything similar is required.
