Description:
In this offer you will receive a complete set for repairing the display of your VW Golf 1 / Golf 2 MFA multifunction display. The MFA was also used in other models from the time, and the display fits here too. But not with simple digital watches, where a different display is required.

After many years of use and frequent temperature fluctuations, the seal on the LCD elements eventually fails and the display leaks. Although the entire component still functions fully, the numbers and symbols can no longer be fully read. The aging of the associated conductive contact rubbers is also a common reason for incomplete readability of the displays. Even if the liquid crystal display (LCD for short) is still fully intact.
As a do-it-yourself solution, you can also repair the display yourself as an inexperienced hobbyist using the components offered here as well as our support and illustrated instructions. The inner housing of the climate control in the Audi is usually not only clipped, but the clips are also provided with elastic adhesive/silicone. This has to be cut open during dismantling. Apart from this special feature, no complicated assembly work or soldering is required.

Because aging of displays is a general problem, we generally advise against purchasing used components that are still intact. Here too, it is only a matter of time before the display no longer works. Replacing your own display is therefore always the cheaper option in the long term.
