Description:
If the odometer or hour meter on your vehicle has failed, this drive gear in the instrument is usually the cause. Due to unsuitable materials, the original gears disintegrate or crack radially. With this offer, any hobby mechanic can easily repair their instrument themselves and saves on costly professional repairs, waiting times, and the shipping costs for the entire instrument.
The gear is for Smiths odometers and has 20 teeth.

Gear Sets:
Some odometer drives contain more than one vulnerable gear. Here we strongly recommend replacing all critical gears to avoid duplicate assembly work: Often, the adjacent gear fails immediately after replacing the first one. Simply find the right set in our shop and enter your vehicle as a search term + "gear" (e.g., "Mercedes SL gear"). Note: The number of teeth on instrument drives varies even within a single model, depending on the engine and transmission type, differential ratio, and country code. Thanks to our many years of experience, we can usually send you the correct tooth configuration directly with the information above. You can also provide us with vehicle information in the comments field when purchasing, or ideally, disassemble your instrument beforehand and count the number of teeth. Quality:
Our gears are manufactured using a complex and faithful injection molding process and are not 3D-printed in-house creations. We work with a manufacturer specializing in the production of plastic gears and a global market leader in repair solutions.
The so-called involute tooth geometry is retained; this is the only way to ensure low-friction sliding of the tooth flanks between the gear pairs.
We use the thermoplastic Celron with graphite additives as the material. These ensure low friction and wear-free operation.

If you disassemble the speedometer beforehand, please note that the speedometer needle shaft is very delicate. Grasp the speedometer needle in the middle and turn it counterclockwise, pulling gently. Friction is all that holds the needle on the shaft.
