Description:
Brittle or cracked rubber parts are often the cause of rough engine running. Especially at idle, the engine often runs unevenly because it can draw in unmetered air through aged and hardened rubber parts.
Therefore, we recommend replacing sleeves, intermediate flanges, hoses, and intake manifolds at the first signs of aging. After 30 years, rubber parts should always be replaced as a precaution.
Replacing rubber parts is standard practice during full restorations.
