To avoid duplicate installation work, we also recommend replacing the roller gear shown in the background of the image below at the same time. This is the second most common source of error and often fails shortly afterwards. This set contains both gears.

If you disassemble the speedometer in advance, please note that the shaft of the speedometer needle is very sensitive. Grip the speedometer needle in the center and turn it counterclockwise. Pull gently. Friction is all that keeps the needle on the shaft.
