In this offer you will receive a repair kit for the digital clock of your VW Golf 4. The clock is in the instrument cluster and only shows the time with its typical 7-segment displays. The display should therefore not be confused with other displays in the instrument cluster. The same instrument cluster was also used in other models from the period, and the display may also fit here. After many years of use and frequent temperature fluctuations, the sealing of the LCD elements eventually fails and the display "leaks". Although the component itself is still fully functional, the numbers and symbols can no longer be fully read. Aging of the conductive contact rubbers is also a common reason for incomplete readability of the displays. As a "do it yourself" solution, even inexperienced hobbyists can repair the display themselves using our illustrated instructions. No complex assembly work or soldering is required for the repair. As the ageing of displays is a general problem, we generally advise against buying used, "still intact" instrument clusters. Here too, it is only a matter of time before the display stops working. Replacing your own display is therefore the cheaper option in the long term.
