Description:
The so-called V-belt monitor is a very important monitoring instrument for the late air-cooled Porsche 911 engines. Because a break in the V-belt leads to the cooling function being interrupted by the engine fan, this tension sensor was installed from the 964 onwards. To ensure proper functioning, it is advisable to replace this tension sensor as a precaution when replacing the V-belt.
No programming or similar is required after the repair.
