Description: Due to the complex design with an intermediate shaft and two overhead camshafts, the water boxers of the modern Porsche 911 Carrera and Boxster have a variety of chains and slide rails. These vary depending on the displacement or model year, even within a series. For example, the chain guides were slightly changed between the 3.4L and 3.6L Carrera engines from 2001 to 2002. The engines of the 911 turbo and GT models, however, are based on the proven 911 technology from the previous models. Here, timing chains as well as slide rails and tensioning rails for the valve control are fundamentally different. For our engine components, vehicle information is always based on Porsche's spare parts program. The manufacturers of tension rails, slide rails and timing chains are well-known brands. You can find the components for your engine overhaul separately or as ready-made sets in our webshop.
The FEBI brand has been an integral part of the Bilstein Group for almost 100 years, which is still family-owned today. The word mark “febi” was registered in 1923 and has since produced a variety of spare parts in original equipment quality. It stands for products that meet the highest standards of manufacturing quality and installation safety.
