Description:
With this new repair display you have the opportunity to repair the defective display on your Golf III on-board computer.
The display only fits Motometer speedometers.
The display is also suitable for the mileage speedometer.

Danger:
Two variants of displays were installed in Motometer instruments. One version with conductive rubbers and one with wire pins for soldering.

After many years of use and frequent temperature fluctuations, the sealing of the LCD elements eventually fails and the display "leaks". Although the entire component still functions fully, the numbers and symbols can no longer be fully read. As a "Do it Yourself" solution, you as a hobbyist can repair the display yourself using the components offered here as well as our support and illustrated instructions. Soldering work is required during the repair.

Because aging of displays is a general problem, we generally advise against purchasing used “still intact” components. Here too, it is only a matter of time before the display no longer works. Replacing your own display is therefore always the cheaper and best way in the long term.

We have both the left display for the odometer and the right display with the on-board computer (MFA) display in our program.
When converting the speedometer, it is also advisable to replace the displays in order to keep the speedometer functional in the long term.

No programming or anything similar is required after the repair.
