These hard-to-find tie rod ends with external threads were only installed in some early transaxle models. If you don't have the opportunity to check your tie rods for internal or external threads, just look at your chassis number.

For the following 931 models, the change took place in one model year.
Suitable for the 924 Turbo from chassis number F92-DN402 094 and following 924 Turbo from chassis number F92-DN100 186 and following all 924S 944 from chassis number F 94-DN402 645 and following for left-hand drive vehicles up to MY 86 944 from chassis number F 94-DN402 645 and following at RHD up to MY 86.
