Description: The differential pressure sensor monitors the pressure in front of and behind the diesel particulate filter (DPF). The regeneration of the particle filter is triggered based on these values. If the pressure sensor is defective, incorrect or no measured values will be displayed. A defective differential pressure sensor is indicated by the check engine light. If this error is ignored for too long, expensive damage to the particle filter, turbocharger and engine can result. When replacing the diesel particulate filter, it is advisable to always replace the differential pressure sensor as well.
No programming or anything similar is required after the repair.
