Description:
The bump stops sit on the piston rod of the shock absorbers. The foam buffers protect against bottoming out of the shock absorber under full compression. Usually, the old foam is porous and torn, so it no longer fulfills its function. The bellows protects the piston rod from splashes and its sensitive seal on the strut. Shock absorbers almost always fail at this shaft seal, and the more coarse dirt the piston rod pushes against the shaft seal, the faster both components wear out. Therefore, the bellows should be replaced when the suspension is renewed. Here you will find a suitable set consisting of the dust cover and the bump stop for your Porsche.
