Description:
In almost all vehicles, the rubber insert becomes porous and crumbles over the years. The result is a creaking tailgate because deformations and vibrations while driving can no longer be dampened.

The rubber insert is not available separately from Porsche, only the entire lock unit. You can also get these original parts from us under the item numbers: #16559 and #16560

Installation:
After cleaning and greasing the pawls in the lock, the funnel-shaped insert is pressed from above into the locks of the trunk lid. Seen in red in our example photo, the four rings arranged in a ring must protrude out of the lock again. This way you can eliminate the unpleasant noises from the rear window and completely overhaul your rear locks.
