Description:
Over time, the clamps on the exhaust system rust and become unsightly due to corrosion. The screws become stuck and cannot be loosened.
Therefore, it is always advisable to replace the clamps when working on the exhaust, manifold, and catalytic converter.
When individual components of the exhaust system, such as the heat exchanger or the exhaust itself, are replaced, the corresponding gaskets should always be renewed as well. This is the only way to ensure that the manifold, turbocharger, catalytic converter, exhaust, heat exchanger/heater flap box, etc., together form a completely leak-proof system.
