Description:
The most common cause of control arm defects is the rubber bushings, which become brittle and crack over time. This results in the control arm having more play without the desired damping. Accordingly, a defective rubber control arm bushing is noticeable by reduced tracking accuracy, noise when driving over bumps (rattling), poorer driving dynamics in corners, and uneven tire wear. Polyurethane (PU) suspension bushings, on the other hand, offer significantly longer durability and improve, among other things, handling and driving feel in corners.
