Description:
The mass air flow sensor is fundamentally different from the standard air flow sensor because it does not require a mechanical storage flap. Instead, it captures the airflow precisely using modern hot film technology. This enables a significantly larger flow cross section for the intake air, which, in conjunction with the fast, digital evaluation electronics, leads to a noticeable increase in performance. Correct measured values are transmitted to the engine control unit at all times, which means that additional stress on the engine components is excluded.
