Description:
If any of the following symptoms apply to your Porsche, this may be due to a defective mass air flow sensor:
-noticeable drop in engine power
-top speed can no longer be reached
-power loss and delayed throttle response
-vehicle jerks
-kick-down function failure on automatic transmissions
-increased fuel consumption
-poor emissions

The causes of a defective MAF sensor are varied:
-water has forced its way through the air filter during heavy rain and damaged the sensor
-dirt particles in the intake manifold damage the mass air flow sensor
-many sensors can be replaced using a "Regeneration program", however, they wear out over time
