Description:

The causes of a defective MAF sensor are varied:
-water has forced its way through the air filter during heavy rain and damaged the sensor
-dirt particles in the intake manifold damage the mass air flow sensor
-many sensors can be replaced using a "Regeneration program", however, they wear out over time
