The transaxle shaft connects the front-mounted engine with the gearbox located at the rear axle. This ensures optimal and even weight distribution in the vehicle.
A defective transaxle shaft is noticeable by a rumbling noise on the vehicle floor.
Previously only complete shafts were available.
Here you can find a bearing for overhauling the transaxle shaft.
