Description:
This offer includes a complete kit for repairing the display of your VW Scirocco, Polo, or Jetta "MFA" multifunction display. The MFA was also used in other models from that era, and the display fits here as well. Not so with the simple digital clocks, however; a different display is required here.

After many years of use and frequent temperature fluctuations, the seal of the LCD elements eventually fails, and the display "leaks." Although the component itself is still fully functional, the numbers and symbols can no longer be fully read. Aging of the associated conductive contact rubbers is also a common reason for incomplete readability of the displays, even if the liquid crystal display (LCD for short) is still fully intact. As a "do-it-yourself" solution, even hobbyists can repair the display themselves using the components offered here, along with our support and illustrated instructions. No complex assembly or soldering is required for the repair.

Because aging displays are a general problem, we generally advise against purchasing used, "still intact" multifunction displays. Here, too, it's only a matter of time before the display stops working. Replacing your own display is therefore always the cheaper and best option in the long run.
