To install the door check strap, the door panel and the weatherstripping must be removed. The door check strap is held by a metal plate inside the door and screwed in from the outside with two screws. Since the metal plates in the area of u200bu200bthe check straps often tear out, we also offer a reinforcement kit in our shop.
