Description:
We hereby offer you a correct sealing set of excellent quality for your transmission overhaul. The seal sets of the 901/902 gearboxes are naturally different depending on the housing shape. A distinction is made between magnesium housings (die-casting process) and aluminum housings (gravity casting). Up to and including the 1968 model year, the transmissions were only built with aluminum housings and therefore using the chill casting process. In model year 1969 (from gearbox type 901.06) the alloys and the manufacturing process were changed to die-casting. The change was carried out equally on the 901 and 902 transmissions. The 911s with 2.2L already had the magnesium housing (die-cast), regardless of whether it was 4-speed (911.00 in the 911T) or 5-speed (911.01 in the 911E/911S). The transmissions with magnesium housings are usually called 911 transmissions. In our shop you will find both sealing sets and other spare parts for your transmission overhaul.
