Description:
For your transmission overhaul, we offer you a genuine seal kit of excellent quality. The seal kits for the 901/902 transmissions naturally differ depending on the housing design. A distinction is made between magnesium housings (die-casting) and aluminum housings (gravity die-casting). Up to and including model year 1968, the transmissions were only built with aluminum housings and thus using the gravity die-casting process. In model year 1969 (from transmission type 901.06 onwards), the alloys and the manufacturing process were changed to die-casting. This change was implemented for both the 901 and 902 transmissions. The 911 models with the 2.2L engine already had magnesium housings (die-cast), regardless of whether they were 4-speed (911.00 in the 911T) or 5-speed (911.01 in the 911E/911S). Transmissions with magnesium housings are generally referred to as 911 transmissions. In our shop, you will find both gasket sets and other spare parts for your transmission overhaul.
