The gearshift lever of the 911 F/G models has various small plastic rings that guide and support the lever and shift rod. The plastic bushings wear out over time and the plastic hardens. The result is excessive play in the shift linkage. With new bushings, guide shells and sliding rings, you can overhaul your gearshift lever so that it functions smoothly and free of play again.
