Description:
The high-voltage capacitor discharge ignition system originated in racing and replaced conventional ignition systems in some vehicles. The ignition control units use a sudden discharge of very high voltages to generate a powerful spark, which is then produced by an ignition transformer.
This results in a short, powerful, and precise spark with an accurately determined ignition timing, ensuring ample power reserves under all operating conditions and with high engine compression ratios.
It is strongly recommended to replace all ignition cables, spark plug connectors, and the ignition coil at the same time. We offer the matching ignition coil, specially developed by Perma-Tune, under#16348.
