Description:
The lambda sensor, as a central element of the engine management system, will become noticeable through rough engine running or the engine management light illuminating if it malfunctions. It provides the control unit with important information about the exhaust gas in the area before or after the catalytic converter in order to adjust the fuel mixture accordingly.
When replacing components of the exhaust system, the control sensor may also be so seized that it must be replaced as well.
