Description:
The air conditioning compressor has high mechanical resistance, which consistently leads to high fuel consumption. A magnetic clutch is installed to activate the compressor only when needed. This clutch connects or disconnects the drive pulley to the compressor's drive shaft, thus transmitting the engine's torque.
Common clutch defects include corroded connector contacts, a worn return mechanism, or a burned-out electromagnet coil.
