Description:
Over time, the interior of your Porsche's oil pump will age or wear out. If the engine oil pump is defective, the oil pressure warning light should light up, flash, or only go out after a long period of driving.

If the defective pump is not replaced, the engine's oil supply will be inadequate. This will very likely lead to major engine damage.
