Description:
This valve opens the chamber of the secondary silencer at high engine speeds or when the Sport button is pressed. This increases the flow rate, resulting in a deeper and louder exhaust sound.

In 1909, the Pierburg brothers founded Pierburg GmbH in Berlin, which has been producing carburetors ever since. In 1986, the Düsseldorf-based Rheinmetall Group acquired the company and began building its automotive technology division. In 1998, Pierburg merged with Kolbenschmidt AG, also acquired by Rheinmetall, to form Kolbenschmidt Pierburg AG. Rheinmetall AG is thus very well positioned "around the engine." Within the Kolbenschmidt Pierburg Group, Pierburg is considered an expert in the areas of emissions reduction, air supply, and throttle valves.
