Outdoor Temperature Gauge Repair Service for PORSCHE 968

We repair your gauge to original specifications!

Description:
Most gauges fail after more than 20 years of use. Used gauges that still work are rare, command high prices, and can fail at any time.
This offer includes the repair service for your own outdoor temperature gauge.

Scope of Services:
+ Repair of the display element
+ Replacement of the conductive contacts (rubber pads)
+ Cleaning
+ Functional test
+ Invoice with VAT shown

Procedure:
1. Purchase this repair service.
2. Send your gauge to our address; please include your return address!
3. Receipt of the refurbished digital clock after approximately 7 business days

Should a repair not be possible due to circuit board damage or other serious damage, we will only charge a flat fee of 50% of the price for our testing efforts.

Address:
partworks GmbH
Otto-Stadler-Str. 9c
D - 33100 Paderborn

Installation/Removal Instructions:
1. Remove the triangular, black plastic cover at the end of the dashboard, accessible with the passenger door open.
2. Loosen the screw underneath the long, thin switch panel.
3. Carefully pull off the knobs of the two heating/air conditioning control sliders using a small flathead screwdriver or plastic spatula.
4. Carefully detach the cover of the heating/air conditioning control unit from the side using a plastic spatula or a very small flathead screwdriver. The cover is secured with four small clips (two at the top, two at the bottom). Be careful, the old plastic parts break easily. Loosen all four screws of the control unit and pull it forward one centimeter.
5. Carefully rotate the internal sensor rosette (small, round grille) approximately 30 degrees to remove it. Loosen the screw behind it.
6. Using a small flathead screwdriver, remove the cover to the left of the right fan grille and the screws behind it.
7. Now you can easily remove the switch panel and detach the ATA (Automatic Air Conditioning) unit from its two screws. The somewhat stiff connector is not clipped in and simply pulls off.
8. Keep the screws safe and send us only the display module. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Note:
Ensure the internal sensor hose hasn't slipped off and ideally use a cable tie to secure it.

Duration:
15 min

Tip:
Avoid buying a (still) working, but never refurbished, ATA. It's only a matter of time before it also fails. Save yourself time, money, and hassle.

International customers, please be aware that this is a repair service; the gauge itself is not included.
