Description:
The wishbone is a central part of the chassis and guides the steering knuckle. The wishbone therefore creates a defined connection between the wheel and the body.
The most common cause of wishbone defects are the rubber bushings, which become brittle and tear over time. This means the wishbone has more play without the desired damping. Accordingly, a defective rubber bushing on the wishbone can be noticed by reduced tracking accuracy, noise when driving over bumps (rumble), poor driving dynamics when cornering and one-sided high tire wear. Since a damaged wishbone can affect other components of the chassis, it should be replaced immediately or the damaged bushings should be replaced.
