Description:
Radial shaft seals are naturally subject to an aging process, and the sealing lips become brittle after years of use. Leaky shaft seals are a phenomenon that varies in frequency depending on the installation position and external influences. Because even high-quality seals are hardly a significant cost factor, the installation costs in the event of leaks always outweigh the savings. Therefore, it is always advisable to replace seals preventively during other repairs. We offer a wide variety of shaft seals for classic and modern Porsches. We only use proven seal manufacturers.
This shaft seal is located at the gearbox output towards the front axle on the 996 Carrera 4 and at the front of the rear-mounted engines on the specified water-cooled boxer engines.
