Radial shaft seals are naturally subject to an aging process and sealing lips become brittle after years. Leaking shaft seals are a phenomenon that varies in frequency depending on the installation position and external influences. Because even high-quality sealing rings are hardly a major cost factor, the installation costs always outweigh any leaks. It is therefore always advisable to replace seals as a precautionary measure as part of other repairs. We offer a variety of shaft seals for classic and modern Porsches. This shaft seal is located on the 996 Carrera 4 at the output of the transmission towards the front axle and on the specified water boxer engines on the front side of the rear engines.
