Description:
The four-valve technology is one of the sensitive components of these otherwise robust engines: Regular replacement of the chain and its guide rails is essential to prevent major damage. The timing chain maintenance kit is quality "Made in Germany".

Note:
Over the years, for cost reasons, only the upper guide rail and the chain have been replaced on many vehicles. However, the lower guide rail also wears down and becomes porous. Therefore, it's best to prevent this risk and take a look under the valve cover.
