Description:
The so-called belt tension sensor is a very important monitoring instrument for the later air-cooled Porsche 911 engines. Because a broken belt leads to a failure of the engine fan's cooling function, this tension sensor was installed starting with the 964. For proper function, it is recommended to replace this tension sensor as a precaution when changing the belt.

No programming or similar is required after the repair.
