After years of use, old door check straps are usually worn out, no longer hold in the intermediate positions, or make unpleasant creaking and cracking noises when operated. These high-quality door check straps can remedy this.
To install the door check strap, the door panel and the weatherstripping must be removed. The door check strap is held in place by a metal plate inside the door and screwed in from the outside with two screws. Since the metal plates in the area of u200bu200bthe check straps often tear out, we also offer a reinforcement kit in our shop.
