Description:
The control arm is a central part of the suspension and guides the steering knuckle. The control arm thus establishes a defined connection between the wheel and the body.
The most common cause of control arm defects is the rubber bushings, which become brittle and crack over time. This results in the control arm having more play without the desired damping. Accordingly, a defective rubber bushing on the control arm is noticeable by reduced tracking accuracy, noise when driving over bumps (rattling), poorer handling in corners, and uneven tire wear. Since a damaged control arm can affect other suspension components, it should be replaced immediately, or the damaged bushings should be replaced.
This set consists of uniball joints protected from dirt ingress by dust caps. The original rubber bushings can thus be replaced for a sportier driving experience.
