Description:
If the odometer/trip meter on your vehicle has failed, this gear is usually the cause. The adjacent disc gear also frequently fails. To avoid duplicate installation work, we recommend replacing the E15 and the disc gear together. You can find corresponding offers in our shop.
The matching disc gear for the E15 in the 993 is a 17-K. It's best to count the teeth beforehand and simply search for the designation (17-K) in our shop.

The involute tooth geometry is maintained; this is the only way to ensure low-friction sliding of the tooth flanks between the gear pairs.
We use the thermoplastic Celron with graphite additives as the material. These ensure low friction and wear-free operation.
If you disassemble the speedometer beforehand, please note that the speedometer needle shaft is very delicate. Grasp the speedometer needle in the middle and turn it counterclockwise, pulling gently. Friction is all that holds the needle on the shaft.
