In this offer you will receive a replacement display for the repair of the MFA of your VW Corrado or Passat 35i. The "MFA2", the second series multifunction display, was also installed in the T4 bus and other VW models. The display is usually installed in the left-hand round instrument of the instrument cluster. Please note that this display ONLY fits VDO instrument clusters and is NOT suitable for MotoMeter speedometers. At 61 mm, the width of the display is slightly different to that of MotoMeter. After decades of use and frequent temperature fluctuations, the seals of the LCD elements fail and the display "leaks". Although the component itself is still fully functional, the numbers and symbols can no longer be fully read. The typical damage pattern shows a semi-circular shadow on the display. Aging of the associated conductive contact rubbers is also a common reason for incomplete readability of the displays. Even if the liquid crystal display (LCD for short) is still fully intact. With this "Do it Yourself" solution, even inexperienced hobbyists can repair the display themselves. No complex assembly work or soldering is required for the repair. Because the ageing of displays is a general problem, we advise against buying used, "still intact" multifunction displays. Here too, it is only a matter of time before the display stops working. Replacing your own display is always the cheaper option in the long term.
