With a new profile seal of this type, you eliminate interior noise and the ingress of dripping water into your vehicle.
On the one hand, the original Porsche seal is provided with a viscous-elastic sealant, which drips out in hot weather and offers no real added value. The closed profile provides a better sealing effect because there is no joint as a weak point.
To reduce installation effort (dismantling the gas pressure dampers), we also have a seal with an open profile in our range.
In vehicles with a rear window wiper, the gas pressure dampers cannot be easily removed.
The hinges may need to be removed here.
